  • Description oes here

  • The Artisan Lab is an innovative industrial project meticulously designed to cater specifically to the needs of small creative businesses. This expansive open-plan space occupies approximately 125,000 square feet of gross floor area, rising to a height of 22 storeys and providing a total of 19 dedicated car spaces. The building is divided vertically into four distinct massing zones, each featuring slight setbacks and tilted facade planes that are oriented in slightly different directions from one another. This architectural strategy not only breaks up the bulk of the entire building mass but also created a faceted facade that captures a variety of views from different angles.

The glazing on the curtain wall is fritted with a random pattern, which, while completely seamless, is uniformly repeatable throughout the entire curtain wall system along the facade. This unique pattern is inspired by the dynamic paint splashes of Jackson Pollock, embodying an idea of movement and flexibility that reflects the highly adaptable and functional interior spaces within. Access to the Artisan Labs is conveniently provided through the laneway located behind the structure, where the core is strategically positioned between the main floor area and the adjacent building on the right. This positioning aims to minimize disruption, while creating a column-free interior environment that encourages greater flexibility and fosters improved collaboration among its users. Furthermore, the external wall of the core is elegantly cladded with metal mesh, which allows for wall climbers to flourish from planters, resulting in a beautiful and naturally vibrant green wall that enhances the overall aesthetic appeal of the building.
